For this project, I was tasked with creating an awareness poster on a topic of my choice. I chose Food Insecurity as my topic and went straight to work. Initially, I chose to put a lot into the poster and make it chaotic and desperate; however, with fresh eyes, I chose to abandon all of that and went for a more empty approach to further emphasize the type and the message behind the project. I wanted the stark simplicity to mirror the harsh reality of food insecurity, creating a sense of emptiness that speaks louder than an overload of visuals. This minimalist design allows the viewer to focus on the message and reflect on the gravity of the issue without distractions.
